Throughout its history, the United States has been involved in many counterinsurgencies, especially since the end of the Second World War. One such conflict was the Hukbalahap Rebellion in the Philippines from 1950 to 1954.
Many historians consider the rebellion to be one of the finest counterinsurgencies conducted since the end of the Second World War. It would be a potential lesson for those planning the United States’ participation in the Vietnam conflict.
