Our project, under the guidelines of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh 2010 Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU), aims to design a community-based hypertext lesson collaboration website, named JGIVE. Using open-source projects such as Drupal and JHAVÉ, we constructed a website allowing for the creation, editing, and sharing of hypertext lessons which utilize algorithm visualizations (AVs) with quizzes. The project’s focus is on supporting an active educator-student relation and creating an easy-to-use website which increases the use of AVs.
